Education for Living I - The Power of Language
The first in our series of core courses, EFL I - The Power of Language is designed for people who are open to discovering substantial new possibilities in their lives. As perspective is gained on patterns and old stories about who we think we are, we can develop skills that greatly increase capacity for acting effectively at home, school, and in business. The EFL-I course provides an environment in which to become aware of attitudes and opinions that may support or hinder us in becoming who we want to be and achieving what we want in life.

Course Objectives

  • Become a better observer of ourselves and others
  • Discover the power of distinctions and how they are building blocks to everything we do
  • Discover the power of commitment and how to take new and effective action
  • Learn to build trust and relationships, necessary components for designing our lives
  • Develop a sense of confidence and peace by bringing forth and declaring our identity in the world

Course Content
The facilitator will guide the participants as they learn about:

  • Language as action
  • Common areas of life experiences
  • Declarations, assessments, and assertions
  • Promises, requests, and offers
  • Differences between emotions, moods, and feelings
  • Moods of learning
  • Enemies of learning
